Cerro Catedral Sightseeing Tour
Discover the Cerro Catedral, named because of the resemblance of its highest peaks with a Gothic Cathedral's towers.
Along with a guide and on board a comfortable coach equipped with air conditioning and heating, get to know better this splendid mountain. Take the lift up to the ski base and get to know to many facilities such as restaurants, cafes etc, offering the nicest views over the valley. Being one of the biggest mountain of South America, Cerro Catedral was chosen more than 60 years ago to be the Argentina ski center.
Be ready for pickup around 1:00 p.m. at your centrally located Bariloche hotel. Ride along Nahuel Huapi Lake, on Bustillo Avenue, towards lake Gutierréz. While slowly ascending the mountain, your professional bilingual guide will tell the history of this huge ski complex and how Bariloche became Argentina's most famous ski resort. Enjoy the nicest view over both lakes and the valley while you arrive at the ski base.
Passing by the Playa Bonita bends and Virgen de las Nives, take the path leading to the village at the foot of Cerro Cathedral.
From there, take the lift up to Cerro Cathedral (not included) and get to the center of all activities, where you can enjoy a nice coffee or hot chocolate while facing the whole valley, in on of the cafes or restaurant.
Head down the mountain, always accompanied by your guide, and around 5 p.m., you will be dropped off at your hotel in the center of Bariloche.
