Bird Watching and Snorkeling Eco-Tour
Enjoy a Bahamian birding experience that is simple, pure and natural! This tour is designed for small groups of novice or experienced birders. The Eco-Tour provides visitors the opportunity to bird watch and snorkel in one of the most popular areas in the Bahamas. At the end of the bird watching tour visitors can take a swim or snorkel at an off the beaten path reef.
This tour provides visitors the opportunity to bird with a trained guide in small and private groups (maximum of 5 guests) so that you can receive a personalized experience.
Grand Bahama is known as a major migratory pathway for a variety of species including rare birds. There are 330 birds that migrate through the Bahamas annually. There are six endemic species to the Bahamas- the Bahama Woodstar, the Bahama Warbler, the Bahama Yellowthroat, the Bahama Oriole (Andros), the Bahama Swallow, and the Bahama Inagua Woodstar.
Your guide during your visit will lead you to various hot spots in West End and throughout Grand Bahama. At the end of the bird watching tour visitors can take a swim or snorkel at an off the beaten path reef.
Use of Sibley's Guide, binoculars if needed, E-bird checklist upon request, photos of species encountered and water/light snacks.
